The 3DS announced, glasses-free 3D for Nintendo's next handheld!

Details are very slim on Nintendo's short, Japan-only press release of their handheld gaming plans, but we do learn a few pretty groundbreaking things:
Well, that's all we really know for sure. The press release isn't too helpful to me either.. it's in Japanese. However, we have a few more unofficial hints as to what else this might mean and what this next handheld device might have/do:
- Parallax 3D LCD screens from Sharp are looking to be used.
- Vibration included
- Similar cartridges for backwards compatibility of their immense library
- "3D control stick"
- Mind-controlling capabilities (writer speculation)
We'll learn a heck of a lot more when this thing is officially announced (and maybe unveiled) at E3 2010, so we'll just have to wait and see. Sony really has a run for their money on this one. Nintendo hasn't been at all soft on their handheld front. The DS is the top-selling game console ever (over 115 million units worldwide), with new reiterations regularly (DS lite, DSi, DS xl).
