ICO and Shadow of the Colossus in HD?

If you ever wanted to know what Team Ico's masterpiece creations would have looked like in HD (and, let's face it, if you've played the games then you're dying to know), look no further than these PC-rendered videos. Digital Foundry gives us a pretty good estimate at what these games could look like after an upscaling process recently used for the God of War Collection. This PC port rendering of the game has "over three times the pixels and up to twice the framerate" of the original PS2 games.
The videos were made in response to the rumor that the two masterpieces (hey, Guillermo del Toro said it) would not get a remake, but rather an HD treatment. Now now, this isn't confirmed, only conjecture.. but a pretty delicious sounding rumor at that. And if the end result looks anything like the renderings, the brilliance of these titles will shine all the brighter on the hardware powerhouse PlayStation 3. Please Sony, let it be so!
