Maybe Sony finally figured out that a parent buying little Bobby a new game console doesn't understand the bragging rights Bobby earns with the sleek black PS3. When said parent is looking at the $600 price tag that parent may just decide to grab the XBOX at a $200 savings, or the WII at a $350 savings.
Looks like someone at the print shop slipped a Circuit City promotional flyer that shows the PS3 going on a $100 price cut the week of July 15th. This could just be a clever 12 year old's first photoshop work, but GameDaily BIZ is reporting that a merchandising manager at one of the world's biggest retailers has confirmed to them that the price drop isnt just a Circuit City sales promotion, but is retail wide. We'll keep our eyes on Sony's press conference at E3.
