New details released for the rumble SIXAXIS

Ever since Sony canned rumble in favor of motion controls for the PlayStation 3 controllers (dubbed SIXAXIS, PlayB3yond.com see "CONTROL"), they have received a lot of backlash from the gaming community. At first they blamed the lack of rumble on it being a "last generation feature", then they said it couldn't be done with both motion and rumble. Ultimately, the reason came down to them being sued for patent infringement by Immersion. Now that Immersion and Sony can play nice together (only after Sony paid up), Immersion and Sony have been working on making this the most kick-butt controller yet.
PSM France has just leaked new details on the to-be-released rumble SIXAXIS, and this thing is gonna be tight.
The big news is the technology known as "touchsense". This technology allows for precision and controlled rumble within the controller. You'll feel the vibration come from whichever direction you're getting hit, where on your car hits a barrier, or even shifting gears and the like.
Best of all, this comes at hardly any cost to the consumer or Sony. It's cheaper to produce than the DUALSHOCK method, it consumes less power, and will also be more responsive and precise. This will be a revolutionary system when it is released, and should push a lot of developers to be creative on how they use this power.
Hopefully we will see it officially announced and already in production when Sony gives their keynote at E3 in about a week.
