Watchmen casting: Carla Gugino hops on board

 Now that the Watchmen have been cast, it would appear we are going to hear about casting of the Minutemen for Zach Snyder's Watchmen adaptation. First of those Minutemen to be cast is Sally Jupiter who will be played by Carla Gugino (Sin City, Night at the Museum).
Sally Jupiter, originally a burlesque dancer, is the first Silk Spectre and mother of the new Silk Spectre (being played by Malin Akerman). In the graphic novel, Jupiter is portrayed at several different ages (Minutemen timeframe and Watchmen timeframe), and The Hollywood Reporter's sources say this will remain true for the film. However, whether this aging will be done through makeup or by CGI is unknown.
You can see Gugino in the upcoming Ridley Scott film American Gangster with Russell Crowe and Denzel Washington.
