Wrath of the Lich King announced (BlizzCon 2007)

The second expansion to the increasingly popular World of Warcraft has been announced today at BlizzCon 2007. The expansion is entitled Wrath of the Lich King, adding a the first "Hero" class (the Death Knight, more on that later), increases the level cap to 80 (with new talents, abilities, and quests), like Burning Crusade there is a new profession (Inscription, which allows you to upgrade spells), and more!
Above is the video they showed to introduce us to the new continent of Northrend.
Also included in the expansion is integrated voice chat, customizable dances, hairstyle alteration, of course new dungeons and PvP zones and arenas, and seige weapons and destructible buildings in PvP zones.

Blizzard gave a short blurb about four of the zones located in the new continent of Northrend. The first was Howling Fjord, one of the two "points of entry" for Northrend. This is also where Utgarde Keep will be.

The second zone they covered was Borean Tundra. This zone is home of the Naga, who are actually attempting to melt the ice, giving this zone a great contrast between frost terrain and, well, we don't exactly know, but we do know about some Easter Island-inspired statues.
Third zone they showed us was Grizzly Hills, home of the Furbolgs. The zone was "inspired by the Redwood Forest", and appears to have a very lush forest environment, moreso than ever before.
And lastly, we were shown Dragonblight. This zone is an absolute wasteland, but with high significance. It gets its name from an old ritual in which dragons will go there to die. Subsequently, the decomposing remains of dragons long-dead still reside, littering the path.
